About Balettie Consulting

The Experience Behind YOUR Project.

When you work with Balettie Consulting, you get more than a certified PM.

You get someone who has guided spacecraft through orbital maneuvers, delivered Army intelligence systems to combat theaters, and launched a commercial video game — all before applying that same discipline and precision to your organization's most important work.

Roger Balettie

Owner & President · Balettie Consulting, Inc.

Roger Balettie is a PMP-certified project management consultant and custom website designer based in Austin, Texas. About Balettie Consulting

A Career Built On High-Stakes Delivery

Project management credentials are common. What's rare is the depth of real-world delivery experience behind them. Over more than three decades, Roger has managed projects where the cost of failure wasn't measured in budget overruns, it was measured in mission failure, fielded systems not performing in combat, or products that never shipped.

That background produces a PM who is genuinely calm under pressure, thinks through risk before it becomes reality, and brings a level of discipline to schedule and stakeholder management that only comes from doing it in environments that demanded it.

Whether your project is a critical state government system, a commercial software product, a PMO that needs standing up, or a website that needs to work, the approach is the same: understand the constraints, build the right plan, and execute with precision.

Every organization is different. The methodology gets tailored. The commitment to delivering successfully does not.

What you get

Pressure-Tested Judgment

Real-time Space Shuttle flight control demands split-second decisions with no margin for error. That instinct for fast, accurate decision-making carries into every project engagement.

Cross-sector Fluency

Human Spaceflight, federal agencies, state government, Army programs, commercial software, video games, non-profits, churches, food trucks. Each sector has its own culture, and knowing how to work within them is half the job.

Process that actually helps

CMM-I Level 5 process rigor, PMI best practices, Agile and Waterfall delivery, applied only where they add value. Process exists to serve your team, not the other way around.

Honest Communication

Flight Controllers report what's true to the Flight Director, regardless of what they'd prefer to hear. That same discipline defines how status, risk, and issues are communicated to your stakeholders.

A Partner, not a vendor

Balettie Consulting is a small business built on long-term client relationships. Your success is the only measure of a successful engagement.

How We Work

The Principles that guide every engagement

01

Tailor the approach

Every organization looks, behaves, and performs differently. A methodology isn't right because it's popular, it's right because it fits your team, your stakeholders, and your constraints. We assess first, then prescribe.

02

Process Serves the Team

"Process for the sake of process" gets in the way. Every artifact, every meeting, every report should make the project easier to run — not harder. If it doesn't add value, it goes.

03

Surface Problems Early

In Mission Control, a problem discovered late is a crisis. In project management, it's a budget overrun or a missed deadline. Proactive risk management and honest status reporting are non-negotiable.

04

Own the Result

A PM who deflects when things go sideways isn't a PM, they're a spectator. Accountability for the outcome is the job. We stay in the problem until it's solved.
